Scouts in Bo’ness are poised to emulate their Linlithgow cousins and run a Christmas card delivery scheme.

The 2012 scheme raised in excess of £700 for 3rd Bo’ness Scouts group and hopes are high this year’s event will raise even more money to help re-equip the Group.

Delivery is 25p per card and these can be handed into Branches, Bo’ness Toy Shop, the Baby Box, Carriden Church, the Old Kirk, St. Mary’s RC Church, the Corbie Inn and the Scout Hall (only between 6-8.30pm Wednesday at the last venue).

Cards will be delivered - in the EH51 post code district only - between December 6 and 21.

Event co-ordinator Fiona McGarry said: ‘‘Last year we delivered more than 2500 cards and hope to deliver a whole lot more than that this year.’’
