A LARGE group from the 3rd Bo’ness Scout Group paid a highly enjoyable visit to the Upper Forth Boat Club in Bo’ness last week and - on dry land! - learned lots about sailing.
The party of almost 30 was given a tour by members, and saw the launching system - unique on the Forth - followed by a Powerpoint, video and photo show on the club’s 60 year history, and recent activities.
They also got goodie bags.
Commodore Charles Patrick said: “It was tremendous to have such a large number of Scouts visiting the club.
“The club members that were present really enjoyed their visit and we would welcome any other youth organisations that would like to visit the club.”
Last night (Thursday) it was the turn of St Andrew’s Church Boys’ Brigade to head down to the club’s HQ on Haney’s Way.
