Said event co-organiser, Ian Gibson: “That’s the ninth annual duck race and probably the biggest and best yet with 2000 people and 25 businesses buying ducks.

“There was a good crowd, too, which was a pleasant surprise given the weather on Monday.

“I’d particularly like to thank everyone who sponsored a duck, especially those businesses who have supported this event for all of its nine years.’

“I’m absolutely delighted at the response again this year.”

The Business Duck Race winner was number 37 -FPG Ltd, bought by Colin Mitchell while the peoples race was won by number 327 bought by Lois Ree of Car Service @ Hunters of Linlithgow.
