LINLITHGOW is set for a clean up tomorrow (Saturday) and everyone is invited to get involved.

The event will be part of the National Spring Clean 2012, one of 912 similar events planned across Scotland, and is being supported by Linlithgow Grange Rotary and Linlithgow Angling Club.

Various assembly points have been identified so everyone can get their hands dirty for the good of the town. The public are asked to meet at 9am at Greggs at the Regent Centre shopping centre; at Preston Road, Linlithgow Primary and St Joseph’s Primary Schools towards Linlithgow Academy (assemble at the lay-by on Preston Road outside Linlithgow Primary School at 9am); the roads around Bonnytoun Farm (assemble at the layby at the east end of the loch on the road to Bonnytoun Farm at 9am); Linlithgow Sports Club, Boghall, cricket club, play area, Capstan Walk (assemble outside the cricket club at 9am) and the Spar shop area (assemble outside Spar at 9am).

People are asked to come in old clothes but necessary equipment will be provided, and there will be refreshments. Please note that if children participate, their parents will be responsible for them.
