Children at Winchburgh Primary School were tasked with walking to school and tracking their steps using pedometers.

Pupils from primary four, five, six and seven classes at the West Lothian school took part and were rewarded with sportswear vouchers for the whole school from Barratt Homes, who were behind the scheme.

Head teacher Frances Rosevear said: “We are very lucky to be located in a very picturesque part of West Lothian, where for those living in Winchburgh, walking to school could most definitely be an option.”
