Members of Bo’ness and Linlithgow Probus Club held a celebration lunch last week to mark its 40th anniversary.

The presidents of neighbouring Grangemouth and South Queensferry Clubs were specially invited to the occasion in the Corbie Inn, Bo’ness, along with their wives.

Chairman Bill Duncan welcomed everyone before introducing new president Nick Knox, who later proposed ‘A Toast to Our Club and to The Probus Clubs Nationwide’.

After lunch the oldest member, 90-year-old David Morrison, recited a poem he had written and he was presented with a book to mark his contributions over the years.

Further entertainment was provided by singers The Bo’ness Belles from their lengthy repertoire before the vote of thanks.
