Bus travellers should double check their timetables this weekend as some services are changing from tomorrow (Saturday).
West Lothian Council is advising local people who use First Scotland East Services to check the company’s website before travelling, as changes take effect from this weekend, following tram diversions being removed in Edinburgh.
First Scotland East’s operations director, John Gorman, said: “We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to prepare for the changes.
“As a result of quicker journey times, we obviously need to amend our timetables. We’ll be doing everything we can to ensure a seamless transition including having extra staff on the ground at the weekend and on Monday to deal with any customer enquiries and extending our Twitter operations.”
A West Lothian Council spokesman added: “First Scotland East has advised us that from tomorrow (Saturday), it intends to make a number of route changes and timetable adjustments. We have been advised that the changes are due to the tram diversions being removed in Edinburgh.
“Our advice to people who use First Scotland East services is to check your travel arrangements on their website.”
The x38 service is just one of the local services that will be affected as tramworks are complete at Shandwick Place in Edinburgh. For service changes go to www.firstgroup.com/scotlandeast
