Travel plans in place for festival

Party at the Palace ticket holders are being told not to panic over the proposed rail strikes taking place during the event weekend.

Organisers have been working hard to arrange alternative travel as services to and from Linlithgow will be disrupted if the strikes go ahead.

Party at the Palace have teamed up with concert travel specialists Happy Bus to provide coach travel. Buses will run from Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Fife, Perth and Edinburgh. This will be the best way of getting to and from the festival and must be booked in advance.

If travelling by car, parking is free at PATP, however organisers hope people will car share to limit the carbon footprint of the festival.

The layby on Blackness Road is the best recommended drop-off point with behind Tesco being the preferred pick-up point.

Buses will run as normal however are expected to be incredibly busy.

A spokesman said: “We want to get everyone home safely.”
