JOSH Alexander (8) is proud as punch after winning a trophy in his first-ever Muay Thai competitive fight, held recently at Larbert’s Dobbie Hall before a crowd of 300.

His accurate low kicks, punches and clinches proved to be prize-winning, with the three judges unanimously backing the Bo’ness youngster over his opponent, who had travelled all the way from England.

Josh, who was padded up for the fight which took place before the adults’ action, declared: “It was very good and I felt very happy.”

The Public School pupil trains twice a week at Mo’s Muay Thai club based at Bo’ness Recreation Centre, run by Maurice Tully and his wife Yvonne.
