Strong winds could cause disrpution on the Forth Road Bridge tomorrow (Friday) morning.

The bridge is likely to be open to cars only during the peak period. A full closure could be possible around 8am.

Drivers are advised to check weather conditions before travelling and adjust their travel plans as necessary.

Public transport is also likely to be affected, with winds forecast in excess of the level buses would be allowed to cross from roughly 4am onwards.

The bridge is also expected to be closed to cyclists and pedestrians throughout the day.
