Crowds turned out to show their support for a vital water rescue service last Sunday when Queensferry RNLI held its annual Open Day.

Over £2500 was raised and all the money goes directly towards the operating costs of the local lifeboat service.

Thanks to all who contributed, especially everyone from the Bikers’ Cove who took care of the barbecue which brought in £500 towards the day’s final sum. Also to those who donated home baking and prizes for the tombola stall.

Entertainment was provided by a number of organisations in support of this favourite community charity, including Central Scotand Ballet School, South Queensferry Taekwon-Do and Blood Bikes Scotland.
