Tourism opportunities in the Journal and Gazette patch are almost endless, thanks to the area’s rich history and its miles of waterways.
This week alone, three opportunities to boost the local economy via tourism have presented themselves, thanks to special initiatives now being undertaken. In South Queensferry, a meeting is being held next week for businesses and residents to best work out how to capitalise on cruise ships docking in the Forth. It has also been announced that Port Edgar is finally being transformed into a ‘world class’ marina. And in Bo’ness, work will soon get underway on new footpaths at the foreshore as well as further developing the largest wildflower meadow in the Falkirk district. We will be more than happy to support all these projects under our Shop Local campaign – if it’s good for this area, it’s great news for us too!
