the Journal and Gazette has teamed up with organisers of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay to offer readers the chance to snap up tickets for the city’s famous Street Party event.
We have two pairs of tickets, worth £30 a pair, to give away for the event on Monday, December 31.
Billed as the original and best New Year celebrations in the world, we are giving readers the chance to join the party with 80,000 others beneath the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and dance your way into 2012 with live music and entertainment, DJ’s, giant screens, outdoor bars and the world famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay midnight fireworks.
Ticket holders will get the chance to listen and watch live music at the Waverley, featuring The Macabees, Reverend and the Makers, the Scottish stages which will feature Admiral Fallow and Shooglenifty, while large screens will broadcast the sold out Concert in the Gardens featuring Simple Minds, The View and Bwani Junction.
For your chance to win this great prize, just answer this simple question: What is the name of the main thoroughfare in Edinburgh’s city centre?
Send your entry on the form provided to Hogmanay Competition, Journal and Gazette, 114 High Street, Linlithgow, EH49 7AQ, to arrive no later than noon on Thursday, December 27. Tickets are still available for the Street Party, which runs from 9pm to 1am, priced £15 plus £1.60 booking fee, from www.edinburghshogmanay.com
