Top international trio Calum Logan, Thomas Mann and Neil Speirs of West Lothian IBC are aiming for some early New Year prize money when they compete in a star-studded invitation triples at Dalkeith this weekend.
The Midlothian IBC with the help of chief sponsor M&F Funeral Services have raised £1200 to attract many of the sports leading names.
Four sections of four teams will play round robin style this Saturday and the draw has pitched Speirs and Co against trios spearheaded by Scott Kennedy, Kenny Bald and Jim Mallon in Section C.
There are joint favourites to land the winners prize in the shape of Billy Peacock, Paul Foster and Alex Marshall who compete in section A against the triples of Stewart Douglas, Ian Forbes and sponsors M&F Funeral Services.
Dalkeith legends in the shape of international trio Ronnie Duncan, Colin Walker and David Peacock have Gaynor Duncan, Lindsay Plenderleith, and Robert Crawford against them.
Section D comprises Willie Wood, Julie Forrest, Gary Thomson and Drew Pearson.
Meanwhile, the recently announced Scottish gents team for the home international series to play at Stanley IBC over March 13-15 includes four West Lothian IBC stars in the shape of Neil Speirs, Thomas Mann, Calum Logan and Bryan Cooper.
The local players that failed to make it from the recent trial were Cameron Greer, Mark Allison and Paul Lynas.
