Bo’ness United underlined their credentials as potential East Region Super League champs winning 3-0 at home to St Andrews on Saturday and going top of the league.

Meanwhile leader-less Linlithgow Rose took another step to recovery going to Armadale and coming back with three points after a 2-0 victory.

The Rose committee has been interviewing potential coaching appointments following Mark Bradley’s departure two weeks ago and a decision is expected sooner rather than later.

This Saturday Bo’ness travel to Rutherglen to meet Glencairn whose seven times postponed Scottish Cup tie was resolved on Saturday courtesy of a tense penalty shoot-out which saw them dismiss Girvan.

Linlithgow Rose are at home to Carnoustie Panmure in the Super League.
