BO’NESS swimmers are celebrating after their performances at the Scottish National Age Group championship as part of the Falkirk Integrated Regional Swim Team helped secure the winning team spot.
Flying the flag for Bo’ness were Craig and Stuart Knight, Kayrinne Kelly, Duncan Scott and Jemma Brown.
Stuart broke his entry time for the 800m freestyle and came third, gaining his first national medal.
Jemma swam a personal best in the 200m fly as did Duncan who won silver in the 200m free, with Kayrinne getting silver in the 400m IM. The team finished the first day in pole position.
Over the following days, Kayrinne took 23 seconds off her entry time in the 1500m free and came home with gold. Duncan knocked six seconds off his PB in the 400m IM and claimed gold and added another first place in the 100m fly.
Craig made the final of the 200m IM and Kayrinne took silver in the 800m free. Duncan added gold in the 200m IM.
He also scooped silver in the 400m free and gold in the 200m fly. Jemma swam a PB in the 100m fly and Duncan got bronze in the 100m free.
A spokeswoman for FIRST said: “That’s an amazing accomplishment for a squad formed six years ago.”
