The anglers at BowdenSprings who ventured out this week enjoyed good sport on both lochs.
On the fly loch, slow sinking and intermediate lines doing the business in the mornings with floating and sink tip also working well on calmer days.
Best fly patterns were white cat and fab variations and also mini yellow dancers.
Buzzer patterns were also catching well in the early afternoon on milder days.
Mr McLaren of Grangemouth had three good rainbows for 8lb 7oz on a yellow dancer. Mr Taylor of Falkirk had three for 9lb 15oz, best being 4lb, also on yellow dancers. Mr McBeth of Falkirk had two fine rainbows for 5lb on a pink fab.
Bait anglers also had good sport being more sheltered down on the big loch.
Powerbait and maggot are still the best method, fished close to shore.
The mild weather has got the fish feeding and Mr Craig of Avonbridge had two good rainbows for 5lb 2oz on Powerbait and Mr James of Stirling had two for 6lb also on Powerbait.
The outlook is good with large rainbows showing in the shallow margins.
