280112 "Dig in at the dock" cyclocross event at boness.

The first bike race in Bo’ness for 44 years proved a massive hit, with the best racers in Scotland competing on a 2km off-road circuit last Sunday.

The hour-long test saw Scottish international racer and Commonwealth Games medalist James McCallum from the London based Rapha-Condor-Sharp team storm the quayside to snatch a hard-won victory over Endura-Pedal Power’s David Lines, and GT Bicycles’ reigning Scottish champion Gareth Montgomery.

There was glory in the ladies class for international racer Eileen Roe of the IBIS team, taking the spoils ahead of Velo Club Mouli’sn Maddy Robinson and Morven Brown from Glasgow’s Dales Cycles. Callum Foster was top junior in what could become a regular race.
