Quiz night in Linlithgow

THE Friends of Linlithgow Rose group are staging a quiz night in the social club tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm.

There will be a chance to catch up with members of the current squad who will be pitting their wits against the supporters. And there will also be a team of Rose legends competing, captained by Derek (Grinder) Halcrow.

There is a first prize of 50 to the winners and entry is a bargain 10 per team for teams of up to five people and includes a buffet and a cabaret after the quiz, pay at the door on the night.

The club will be making their annual player sponsors draw on the night for those interested in sponsoring a player this year.

And there is an opportunity to win great prizes on the night in a raffle.

Prizes include: A framed Linlithgow Rose top signed by the entire 2010 Scottish Junior Cup winning squad; A framed Linlithgow Rose top - worn by Kevin Donnelly in the 2007 Scottish Junior Cup victory over Kelty; A 2002 Scottish Junior Cup Final programme donated by former Rose player Graeme Landells which was signed by the entire squad that beat Auchinleck Talbot at Firhill.

Entry into the draw costs 5 and people attending the game against Bathgate tomorrow will be able to buy an entry envelope even if they can't make it to the quiz itself.
