A sunny autumn day made conditions perfect for Linlithgow Tennis Club’s Mini Club Championships.

The day consisted of three different competitions determined by age groups and run on a round-robin format.

The first competition of the day was for the Green ball players (age 9-10), which saw Sam Featherstone take the trophy and Jack Bonnar as runner-up.

The next competition was for the Orange ball players (age 8-9) with Mackenzie Griffiths coming through as the winner and Aran Grant as runner-up.

Last but not least the Red ball players (age 6-8) took to the courts after being split into two groups due to the volume of entries. The winners of each group went head to head in a final which after a very close match resulted in Alex Evans taking gold and Fraser Honeyford silver.

Some excellent tennis was played on the day and it was great to see some budding stars of the future showing off their tennis skills.

Thanks go to all who took part, the families who went along to support and Suzy and Rhona for organising the event.
