A SWIMMING club in Queensferry has appealled for coaches.
The Ferry Amateur Swim Team (FAST) is in danger of folding unless coaches, qualified at Level 2 and above come forward.
The club was formed in 2005 to give children between ages seven and 16 years in the Queensferry and Kirkliston area the opportunity to develop in the sport.
But the group has seen coaches depart over the past year and they now have only one experienced coach at Level 2.
Karen Grant, FAST secretary said: “We have around 30 members at present who enjoy the sport and who want to take it a step further but it looks like the club may fold unless we can find additional coaches.”
The club meets twice a week for training at Queensferry High School, on Sundays from 2.30-4.30pm and Mondays from 5-7.30pm.
Karen added: “Ideally we are looking for people who could coach on both days but if a person can only commit to one session that would be great.”
