MOVE over Andy Murray - there’s a new tennis star in town and he’s from Linlithgow.
Sammy Ralston is only 10 years old but he has just been selected to play for Scotland in an under 10 match against Wales on September 15 and 16 in Glasgow.
Proud mum Ashley, of Sheriff’s Park, said; “Sammy has been working hard all summer on his tennis and is excited to be selected.”
Sammy, a P6 pupil at Springfield Primary, won the under 10 club championship at Linlithgow Tennis club and was runner-up in the under 12 boys.
Marion Stevens, secretary at Linlithgow Tennis Club, said: “His selection is a fantastic achievement and well deserved.”
