This year’s Linlithgow Folk festival promises to be the biggest and best yet.
The five-day celebration of traditional music, song and dance gets underway on Wednesday, September 9, and runs until September 14.
The official programme was launched last month and the organisers are delighted to announce that further events have been added – with even more to come.
Folk Festival Chairman, Murdoch Kennedy explained: “We have changed things around this year to keep the programme fresh. The headline concert with Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain will be on Friday night, which allows us to do something different on the Saturday.
“We are delighted to announce that rockabilly Uncle Red will be playing in the Star and Garter, while Falkirk’s The Tonkerers will be appearing at the Four Marys.”
This means that events on the Saturday night will include musical cruises on the canal and a Bluegrass concert in Queen Margaret Hall.
