Fringe benefits for actor Christopher

Chris Page as Chaplin

Chris Page as Chaplin

Christopher Page has been tipped for Hollywood movie stardom after appearing in Martin Scorsese’s ‘‘The Wolf of Wall Street’’.

Christopher, who uses the stage name Daniel Christopher Page, grew up in Linlithgow’s Kettilstoun Grove, where he lived for 14 years with his family.

He then trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York.

After moving to Los Angeles, Christopher wrote his own short film “Eleven” and is returning to LA to star in a leading role.

He is currently back home in Scotland, having played a role in the Bank of Scotland’s recent TV advertising campaign, and is filling in time before leaving for the US by starring in the title role of Charlie Chaplin along side James Bryce in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the play of the same name.

The story of Chaplin is as great as all stories he gave life to on the silver screen. Say “Charlie Chaplin” and the world thinks of his unforgettable character - the little tramp with the big shoes, hat, cane and moustache. But who was the man behind the distinguishable attributes?

Well, that’s where Christopher Page comes in. He hopes he can bring to life the persona of the the ‘little tramp’, and according to reviews so far he’s doing just that.

The ‘Public Review’ said: The cast are uniformly excellent, James Bryce is affecting as the older Chaplin, cursed with the memories of his past, while Christopher Page is a delightfully charismatic younger Chaplin.”
