Youngsters from a local drama company are planning to sparkle on stage next week as they take part in the Falkirk Tryst Festival.
Audiences can expect a magical evening of entertainment from the children of Sunny Stars, who are this year presenting their 12th annual summer show.
The young stars are all aged four to 16 and attend weekly classes in Linlithgow, as well as Larbert, Brightons and Falkirk. They will perform three plays - ‘Pinocchio’, ‘Peter Pan’, and ‘Beauty IS a Beast’ - a hilarious twist on a classic tale.
Sunny Stars principal Jennifer Marjoribanks said: “The children have been working so hard over the last few months to rehearse for their show. The evenings will be packed with music and fun, and it really is a fabulous evening for all the family.
“There are some familiar tales - from the boy who doesn’t want to grow up, to a boy who just wants to be real, as well as a very new story of a girl who’s beautiful on the outside but not so pretty underneath.
“Our senior class will also be performing extracts from their play, Pressure.
“We love taking part in the Tryst Festival and are very grateful to Falkirk Arts and Civic Council for allowing us to be part of such a great fortnight.”
Tickets, priced £6.50 (£5 conc) are available from the Steeple Box Office on 01324 506850.
