Hide AdIt took the decision to close all its cafes on March 18, five days before the UK lockdown began.
But from today it has reopened for takeaway customers after operating social distancing and putting extra hygiene measures in its stores.
M&S said the plans for reopening came after a trial at five locations.
It said the company had prepared "rigorous guidance for colleagues and will have extensive signage for customers so they can pick up their coffee safely".

Hide AdSafety measures had been introduced, including perspex screens at tills.
Tim Hortons is reopening seven branches across the UK tomorrow – and one is in Stenhousemuir.
It will be for drive through customers only and will also be providing takeaways through Deliveroo and Just Eat.
The company has stressed there will be no customers allowed in the restaurants.

Hide AdIt added that they would be “returning with much smaller teams in our restaurants, however, we will endeavour to serve our customers with a full menu”.
They will be open for business from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week.
