Falkirk's independent breweries can tap into funding scheme

Created by the Scottish Government, the fund will be administered through local authorities and can provide one-off grants of up to £30,000 to eligible businesses, with the level of grant awarded depending on the rateable value of the premises in which the brewery is located.
Independent breweries in the Falkirk area, which includes Tryst Brewery in Larbert, can apply for cash by logging onto www.findbusinesssupport.gov.scot for more information.

Hide AdJames Calder, Society of Independent Brewers chief executive, said: “Beleaguered small breweries have been some of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and seen their sales drain away with the closure of pubs.
“In these tough times it is hugely welcome that the Scottish Government has listened to our concerns and worked with SIBA to develop a new funding scheme specifically for small breweries in Scotland.”
