West Lothian school repairs scheduled for Easter holidays
West Lothian Council is spending £700,000 to repair and upgrade local schools during the Easter holidays.
The two-week holiday period over Easter provides an opportunity to get essential work completed safely when pupils are not present.
The programme of works during the Easter break this year contains £94,000 for render replacement and over £30,000 for replacing toilet facilities at Bonnytoun Nursery in Linlithgow.
Commenting on the improvements, executive councillor for education David Dodds said: “West Lothian has one of the best school estates in the country, and it’s important we continue to maintain these assets.
"Schools are getting vital work safely carried out as part of the programme, ready for pupils returning after the Easter holidays.”
