New Forth Valley online group to support people with blood cancer

A new virtual support group in Forth Valley will help people affected by blood cancer.

Forth Valley Haematology Virtual Support Group has been set up by Leukaemia Care, a national charity which provides advice and support to anybody affected by blood cancer.

It is open to patients, their family and friends.

The group was set up due to demand in the area, and its first meeting is on Thursday November 12 at 3:00pm.

Laura Phillips, who is co-ordinating the virtual support group, said, “This friendly group welcomes anyone affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.

“It is a great opportunity for patients and their loved ones to safely chat to others in a similar situation.”She added: “We look forward to the ongoing development of the virtual Forth Valley support group.”
