Vaccination figures continue to rise in Falkirk and West Lothian council areas
More than half of people in West Lothian have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
Public Health Scotland data shows 80,336 people West Lothian had received their first jab by April 7, up seven per cent from 74,993 a week earlier. It means 54 per cent of people aged 16 and over in West Lothian have now received their first dose.
The figures include 12,038 people who had their second dose, meaning eight per cent of over-16s in West Lothian have now had both jabs.
Across Scotland, 2.6 million people received a jab by April 7, 57 per cent of the population.
In the Falkirk Council area, 61 per cent of adults have now received their first dose, while 11 per cent have now had both jabs.
