Warning to Falkirk consumers over tinned fish contamination

The Food Standards Agency has issued an alert on behalf of tinned fish giant John West after certain products were found to have possible microbiological contamination risk.

As a precaution the firm has now recalled two products – John West Boneless Sardines in Sunflower Oil and John West Sardines in Olive Oil because of possible microbiological contamination risk.

The products in question are in the 96 gram and 120 gram tins, with the batch code 109, 110, 111, 112 and 113 and the best before date December 2026.
