Falkirk office Shirley chases thief down street

What they did not know was Shirley Mitchell (pictured) was hot on the trail of a thief.

And Shirley got her man. She trapped him until police arrived to make an arrest. This week she was the toast of the police and her office colleagues.

At a presentation on Wednesday they handed over a box of chocolates and a pair of tights to replace the ones she ruined during her crime-busting chase.

Shirley was working in the Park Street office of the Scottish Special Housing Association when she heard a noise from the main office.
