SAVE the date! Scotland’s only silent film festival returns for 2013 to the Bo’ness Hippodrome, and is extended from three to five days (Wednesday to Sunday, March 13-17) by popular demand.

On the back of the cinema’s successful centenary celebrations, organisers are working on the programme for this, the third festival, which will be launched on Tuesday, February 5.

Movie and music fans can again look forward to a live cinema experience of classic and rare movies, accompanied by internationally-acclaimed performers in Scotland’s oldest purpose-built cinema.

Previous festival audiences have been treated to a wide variety of workshops, performances and films from three decades of the silent era, featuring stars like Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, and original ‘It’ girl Clara Bow.
