Linlithgow Loch and Falkirk’s Helix Park have been named as two of the 10 best places to walk your dog in Scotland.
The 10 walks include beaches, lochs, parks and signed path walks through woodlands in areas from the central belt to Dumfries and Galloway in the south and Aberdeenshire in the north.
The list was put together by VisitScotland and partners Vets4Pets as research shows that almost a third of holidaymakers base their trip on how suitable the destination is for their pet.
Louise Purves, corporate press officer at VisitScotland, said: “We are lucky enough to be blessed with breathtaking scenery in Scotland, from beautiful, spacious parks to award-winning beaches.
“There are hundreds of incredible walks across Scotland for local or visiting dog owners to choose from and enjoy with their beloved pet, and we wanted to celebrate and promote them through this list.”
The other eight are: Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow; Inverary Jail, Argyll & Bute; East Sands Beach, St Andrews, Fife; North Berwick, East Lothian; Eyemouth Beach, Borders; Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire; Loch Morlich, Argyll & Bute; and Gatehouse of Fleet, dumfries and Galloway.
