STUDENTS across the Journal and Gazette area are among 160,000 young people in Scotland receiving their exam results by email, text or post on August 4.
For those who don’t get the results hoped for, help is at hand with a free call to the Skills Development Scotland exam results helpline on 0808 100 8000.
The lines open at 8am on August 4 with advisers offering the latest information on UCAS course vacancies across the UK, confirmation and clearing, employment, training opportunities and exam re-sits, for young people receiving their SQA qualifications.
Damien Yeates, chief executive at Skills Development Scotland, said: “Our helpline will be live from early morning to offer young people and their parents all the advice they need as soon as their results are received.
‘’Our advice is – as always – not to panic. If people don’t get the results they were anticipating, they should contact the helpline and speak to our advisers.
“Making the call is what is important, because it is the vital first step in finding out what options are available.”
The helpline will run from 8am until 8pm on August 4 and 5, from 9am until 5pm until August 26 and from 9am until noon on August 27.
