WE really had to trawl the archives for this week’s ‘‘Memory Lane’’ picture!
But there’s virtually no information to accompany this picture which was apparently taken sometime between 1900 and 1920!
What we have here is a steam or diesel engine driving a piece of machinery on a building site.
Barely legible on the canopy of the engine is a name and the only other information is a note on the picture saying they were a Bo’ness firm called Hardie’s.
The Journal and Gazette is always keen to receive old pictures for possible reproduction.
