HEAVY rainfall caused a bit of a splash in the Linlithgow area in the last week of 2012.

On Monday, there was
extensive flooding at the dip in the road at the Brig Inn at Linlithgow Bridge due to water coming off the fields. Falkirk Council sent a team to the area and it was cleared up by 2pm.

There was also flooding on Linlithgow High Street on Monday, opposite St Peter’s Church, due to a choked road drain which was later cleared.
