ADVICE for voluntary groups on changes to the UK’s benefits system is available at seminars over the next two months.

West Lothian Council is offering free places on its welfare reform seminars to staff of voluntary organisations who need to understand the system changes.

The two hour seminars take place at Howden Park Centre between now and March 19, and themes covered include: The Council Tax Reduction Scheme, Under-occupancy, the Scottish Welfare Fund (Social fund replacement), Personal Independence Payment and Universal Credit, including the impact on passported benefits.
