£35k investment to make Linlithgow safer

West Lothian Council has invested £35,000 from the capital expenditure budget to install white street lighting in the town, update the town’s CCTV and introduce a ShopSafe radio system to reduce shop lifting, potential fraud and increase communication among traders.

The programme was launched on Wednesday with representatives from ShopSafe, the council, Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge Town Management Group, Lothian and Borders police and the LBA.
