NEARLY 400 people have downloaded the new Linlithgow App in the first 15 days of going live.
Daily posts on the Heritage Trail, ‘What’s on in Linlithgow’ and interesting visitor information are keeping the numbers high with the latest statistics showing 253 Apple and 126 Android downloads.
The Linlithgow App is also being promoted via the new ‘Linlithgow-a Great Visit!’ Facebook page that has gained 315 friends in the short time since it was created and Linlithgow Burgh Halls staff are also helping promote the app to tourists (pictured).
Ronnie Bamberry, chairman of Pride and Passion Linlithgow is delighted with the amount of interest.
He said: “It’s been a fantastic uptake, with loads of sessions being utilised on both versions of the application.”
App developers, Town Guides, who have 11 other towns they have created apps for, have also been very pleased with the public response, calling it “pretty impressive”.
