A MAJOR building refurbishment at Arup in Queensferry has reaped awards aplenty.

The engineering and design consultancy, which is based at Scotstoun House, has just been voted as the best office refurbishment in the United Kingdom, for a building under a total area of 2000m².

This is the latest in a list of awards the company has won for the project.

The award, given by the British Council for Offices recognises the work undertaken by Arup to refurbish its facility built in the 1960s.

Douglas Wylie, project director for the refurbishment said: “Our efforts have been recognised by Arup winning several awards within the construction industry. The feedback from the Arup staff and visitors to the offices are that the new facilities give a relaxed area to work in and that the building has been given a new lease of life.”
