CARING members of the public boosted funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care by supporting an event in Queensferry last week.
The annual South Queensferry Health Centre Christmas sale, raised a whopping £1625.26 for the charity.
The organisers would like to thank all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, the Heath Centre for hosting the sale and the community for attending and making it such a great success.
Arlene Main, community fundraiser at the Marie Curie Hospice said: “Every year a team of local volunteers organise the event and help raise valuable funds for the Marie Curie nurses that care for terminally ill people in their own homes across the Lothians or at the Edinburgh Hospice.
‘‘And without the support of volunteers, businesses and the Health Centre staff, the sale would not be possible.
‘‘Thank you so much for your support - we appreciate it.’’
