From November 10 TSB bank in Bo’ness will be holding a Piggy Bank parade to raise money for Alzheimer Scotland.
It is a TSB-wide initiative where branches and offices can opt to decorate up to five plain white piggy banks and then parade them for all to see. Customers are able to vote for their favourite by depositing a donation to Alzheimer Scotland into the piggy bank. The one which raises the most money will be declared the winner.
The Bo’ness bran ch will be displaying unique painted Piggy Banks designed by school children at all five local primary schools from November 10 to November 21 so go down to see the fabulous creations and vote for your favourite.
The bank has a winning entry from each school and plans to display many of the competition entries as well as the winning pigs.
Branch manager Joyce Morrison said: “We are looking forward to displaying the children’s piggy bank parade to customers. It is fantastic to know the difference that our, and their, efforts will make.”
An Alzheimer Scotland spokeswoman said: “The Piggy Bank Parade is a great way to raise money to support people with dementia and their carers. TSB is raising money to fund vital care services. There is currently no cure for dementia but, with the right support, people can live well.”
