Bo’ness policing priorities

The Policing and Communities Together (PACT) priorities for Bo’ness this month, are

- increased patrols around building sites

- to reduce the number of calls to police about antisocial behaviour in Douglas Park

- to cut the number of complaints in relation to drug misuse in public houses.

Priorities are set by the Bo’ness Community Policing Team in agreement with its partner agencies.

The team encourages members of the public to contact it on 01786 456000 with any information that may help in tackling these issues.

Priorities last month, for February, were twofold.

In response to concerns over antisocial behaviour in Snab Lane, the area was given particular police attention. Complaint calls dropped from four to one, and matters are now with Falkirk Council’s conflict resolution team.

After alerts from the public over thefts occurring at building sites in the town, this was also given an increased police focus.

The community team reports that as a result, two males were arrested and charged with theft from a Cadzow Avenue building site.
