A group of dedicated volunteers are marking a special birthday of a Bo’ness institution - Branches charity shop is turning 30.

The shop has been helping to raise valuable funds for various good causes for three decades now and on Saturday, November 21, the store celebrates its special day.

Lillian Miller has been volunteering at Branches for 17 years and sings the praises of all who have been involved over the years.

She said: “It’s a big part of the community. Thirty years is a long time when shops come and go.

“Half of the money goes to the Vine Trust and half goes to community groups in Bo’ness.

“Everything in the shop is new. We stock cards and gifts and support fair trade.

“The Osiligi Maasai Warriors have a range of beads and bangles in store.”

Branches will be open during the Christmas celebrations on Saturday from 12pm and for late night shopping on Thursday, November 26 until 8pm.
