THE controversial Burghmuir development is set to be put on hold as West Lothian Council are set to refuse planning permission in principle for the site.

Councillors will vote on Wednesday, April 17, on the Wallace Land application which, if given the go ahead, is expected to have a monumental impact on Linlithgow and Bo’ness.

Council planners have indicated refusal saying a mixed use development is significantly contrary to the development plan.
