LOW Port Primary in Linlithgow has been given £350 from an international company which wants to help local communities.
Pupils were awarded £350 as part of the Kumho Tyres ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign and the school hopes to put the money towards musical and sports equipment.
Kumho Tyres gave away over £100,000 to deserving groups through its network of ECSTA Performance Centre independent retail partners. Locally, their partner is Linlithgow Tyres and Exhausts, which nominated Low Port Primary and Edinburgh Kings Junior Speedway Team to go forward to a public vote. Low Port received the larger share of public support, and was awarded £350.
John Thrupp, Kumho Tyres’ marketing director, said: “Helping communities and supporting worthwhile causes is part of Kumho’s DNA - Korean companies are very aware of their social responsibilities and work hard to help those in need.’’
