Christmas bin collections

A RESTRICTED bin collection timetable will operate over the festive period.

Householders who normally have bin collections on Mondays or Tuesdays are asked to put their bins out as normal and leave them out until they are emptied. Apart from these two days each week bin collections will operate normally.

For a month starting on Monday, January 2, there will be a brown bin uplift for garden waste and real Christmas trees. Residents should put out brown bins on dates shown on their collection calendar and leave them out until they are emptied. Trees should have all decorations removed and cut up so bin lids can be closed.

Bulky uplift collections are suspended between Friday, December 23, and Saturday, January 7, 2012, but residents can still make advance bookings for bulky uplifts, starting from Monday, January 9. With the exception of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day all community Rrecycling centres (CRCs) will be open throughout the festive period.
