Mains Park in Linlithgow was the main place to be last Saturday as the town’s annual fireworks display went of with a bang – eventually.
The home of Linlithgow Rugby Club has hosted the event for the past 23 years and a “large crowd” once again packed in to see a spectacular pyrotechnics display light up the sky above for 20 minutes.
Volunteers John Smith, Nick Chadwick and Gary Laing have spent the summer at various venues around Scotland as part of their training with local company 21CC and more than 50 other club volunteers ensured the night passed off safely.
There was a slight technical hiccup at the start delaying the show, but once it started the crowd lapped it up.
Club president Ken Richardson said: “We would like to thank everyone from the volunteers, the shops who sold tickets, local councillors and businesses who contributed. This could not happen without this community effort.”
