Police in Forth Valley have charged nine people with violent crimes, including one for serious assault, as part of a new operation to target violence in the area.
Operation Tetra is a focused initiative taking place throughout July and August to address incidents of violent crime across Forth Valley, which was one of the identified local police priorities.
During the first day of operation, 18 officers conducted patrols in the area.
Six warrants were completed, two people were charged with possession of controlled drugs and a man handed himself in to Falkirk Police Office in relation to a further charge of serious assault.
Inspector Mandy Paterson said: “This is a fantastic result for Operation Tetra and demonstrates that violence in our communities will not be tolerated.”
